When medications and other non-surgical treatments are not effective in treating recurrent or chronic sinsusitis, surgery may be a recommended course of treatment.
Should surgery be needed, the Otolaryngologists at The Sinus Center at Ohio ENT will often perform these surgical procedures at the Ohio Surgery Center, an ENT Specialty, joint commission-accredited facility located on Bethel Road. Surgery in an outpatient facility offers
numerous advantages over having the proceduresperformed in an inpatient setting. Your physician will help you in determining the best location to have your procedures performed.
Surgical options may include:
- Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery-with image guidance
- Balloon Sinus Surgery
- Septoplasty
- Turbinate Reduction Surgery
- Removal of Nasal Polyps
- Cosmetic Rhinoplasty
- Reconstruction of Previous Nasal Trauma
- Revision Sinus Surgery for patients who have had less than ideal results from previous surgery
- Adenoidectomy (or less commonly, sinus surgery) for children with nasal and sinus problems.
